After nearly 5 years of sustainability consultancy, BREEAM Assessment of over 20 buildings and continued role as BREEAM Accredited Professional, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery opened to the public this week. Allowing everyone to explore Laverstoke Mill as a state-of-art gin distillery and world class visitor experience.

The transformation of this historic site involved the refurbishment & restoration of 23 existing buildings that sit either side of the beautiful River Test, as well as the construction of Heatherwick Studio designed Glasshouses. The scheme which won a BREEAM 2014 award and achieved BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating includes a range of renewable energy systems in the form of Photovoltaics, a Hydropower turbine and a Biomass which is fuelled by used botanicals from the Bombay Sapphire distillation process.

GWP Project Services involvement in the scheme will continue during the Post Construction period, we wish the Bombay Sapphire and Bacardi Martini team every success with the grand opening.
