3 Culvert Road – Whole Life Carbon & Circular Economy

GWP Project Services prepared a Detailed Circular Economy Statement and Whole Life Carbon Assessment on behalf of Balance Out Living Limited as part of a Full Planning Application to the London Borough of Wandsworth regarding the proposed development of 3 Culvert Road, Battersea. The scheme will comprise of 213 generous studio apartments with en-suite and kitchen facilities. Communal spaces are to include flexible co- work space and event space, gym, lounge & treatment room.

Balance Out Living aims to provide the future of city living by combining modern private studio apartments with vibrant shared community spaces, amenities and lifestyle services all under the same roof. BOL design environments where people thrive, helping them to connect, grow (both personally and professionally) whilst looking after their health and wellness.

GWP-PS worked with the client and the design team to define a strategic approach to Circular Economy principles for the project and identify high level strategic opportunities early in the development process. Through the WLC Assessment, we worked to influence design decisions with a view to reducing WLC through the specification of low carbon materials and a highly energy efficient strategy.

GWPS are also working as BREEAM Assessor, BREEAM AP and WELL AP on the scheme.
